PLYMOUTH PILOTS
Since going into production in the 70’s the Plymouth Pilot has been the most respected boat in its class, relied upon daily by inshore fishermen and enjoyed throughout the year by leisure users.
I was approached by the owners Neil and Lauren Humphrey to reinvigorate the website and rebrand. This project is happening right now and will shortly go live!
WHATLEY MANOR
Whatley Manor is a superb Relais Chateaux hotel in the Cotswolds, with a huge and long-standing reputation of excellence for their Michelin-star restaurant.
I was commissioned by the fantastic Sue Williams and Eloise Gordon to create a series of marketing films that would not only show off the hotel, but also grow interest in their new chef and push their private dining venue The Green Room.
ST IVES FOOD FESTIVAL
The St Ives Food Festival is a really popular event. This was one of the first and it was a hugely enjoyable day capturing all the action and creating a nice little video for them to use in their social marketing.
THE ISLAND CRUISING CLUB
The ICC was a huge part of Salcombe back in the days of The Egremont, a well-loved ex-ferry that was converted into a floating headquarters and accommodation in 1975, serving in this capacity for 40 years, teaching generations of children how to sail dinghies while their parents enjoyed their absence from the safety of shore.
When the Egremont left to be repaired and then never returned, the ICC sadly went into something of a decline. It is now having life breathed back into it by Richard Martin, and I was tasked by him to create various marketing materials, including a new logo, a tri-fold flyer with QR codes, and a new website in Squarespace, that would show up in Google, and members could book out boats.
CALDO & FRED GELATERIA
This Studio gets it’s name from the gelateria…..in Italy ’caldo e freddo’ means ‘hot and cold’ ….which is the inspiration for our famous Affogatos.
Even though this work was effectively unpaid I am happy with the way it turned out, we now have a brand we can be really proud of.
As well as the logo and the website I also did the signage on the outside of the building, the menus, window stickers, T-shirts, and the A-frame boards in Island Street.
Artigrano bakery
Omar was a very popular front of house at the Millbrook Inn, and he was also a member of Salcombe Estuary Rowing Club. He’s a very talented chap and said he was going to set up a bakery at Stokenham making fresh sourdough….and needed a website. When he said he’d pay ‘in bread’ I was in!
This was clearly a mates-rates job and we keot things simple, but it shows the flexibility of Squarespace. It is the perfect choice for a small business like this, just as it is a very popular platform for massive corporations and brands with complex ecommerce stores.
SALCOMBE FISHING
Woodpecker Charters has been a much-loved charter boat business in Salcombe for many years. When the shop they relied on to take their bookings came under new ownership, they needed to figure out how to get customers fast.
We created a brand new identity and website, designing keywords that would be possible to climb to the top of Google rankings in record speed, whilst implementing an online booking system that would give them maximum flexibility to sell their trips.
WELLIES & WAVES
Wellies & Waves is a barn / holiday cottage just outside of Kingsbridge that was redeveloped by the owners in 2022. We created a fresh brand with matching photography and visuals, to appeal to adventurous couples looking for action-packed and romantic weekends in the countryside.
The website also has a booking system linked to Little Hotelier, and QR coded instructions on how to use the logburner.

I have many years experience working as a photographer and videographer for various different brands, if you click the link below you will see a small selection of my work.
A lot of (most) web designers outsource their photography and video needs to freelancers. This tends to be very expensive, and also constrictive in the pressure it puts on getting everything done on one, pre-booked date, with weather-expectations and everything else that goes with that.
I can do all this in-house so have no need to add a premium, plus I also really enjoy it!
LUCKNAM PARK
I was commissioned by Journey (a hospitality agency in Cheltenham) to take a series of photographs and video for their client - Luxury Wiltshire Hotel brand - Lucknam Park.
This was a really enjoyable, challenging shoot, that covered a range of dofferent elements of photography- food styling, portraits, landscape and interiors, as well as video, including some aerial drone work.
